MÁIRÍN de BURCA - A LONER'S INSTINCT

80 year-old social justice activist Máirín de Burca recounts her life's work from her early days as Sinn Féin General Secretary to her pacifist anti-Vietnam stance when she was jailed for attacking Richard Nixon's car.

Founding member of the Irish Women’s Liberation Movement and 'behind-the-scenes' organiser of the Contraceptive Train, she also helped secure womens' right to sit on a jury in Ireland.
